Below are some of the ways the Foundation has helped to enhance care at Swedish Hospital.
Community CARE
(Creating Access to Resources for Equity
This includes a group of programs with the mission of honoring the human dignity of all, while building connections that expand the reach and definition of healthcare.
Cancer Services
In partnership with Galter LifeCenter, our Integrated Cancer Care program is designed to help survivors overcome the physical and emotional challenges of his or her diagnosis by providing healing services that extend beyond medical treatment.
Women’s Health
Through Women’s Health, Swedish Hospital helps to provide preventive, diagnostic and support services for uninsured and underinsured women.
Nursing Education
Excellent and compassionate care starts with our nurses. In order to provide the best care to our patients, the Nursing Education fund supports continuing education opportunities and research projects for nursing staff.
Restoring Smiles
Swedish Hospital’s Dental Clinic was established by the Swedish Hospital Foundation in 2017 to help uninsured and low-income patients who came to the Emergency Room looking for dental relief but could not afford it.
Helping Hands
The Helping Hands Program at Swedish Hospital was created to provide one-time assistance with medications to patients in need, many of whom are homeless, uninsured, or undocumented and ineligible for public aid.
Unrestricted Giving
In addition to our priority programs, Swedish Hospital Foundation also provides support to various activities and annually grants approximately $1.5 million for innovative and new programming at the hospital.
