Swedish Hospital Foundation we take the responsibility of safeguarding your personal information very seriously. As you may have heard, there was a recent breach of information between February 7 and May 20, 2020 from a company named Blackbaud, who provides fundraising software to 35,000 nonprofits worldwide– including Swedish Hospital Foundation.

We have confirmed that no Swedish Hospital Foundation donor records were accessed during this ransomware attack.

Our Blackbaud software is only used to track gift information, including date, gift amount, fund and demographic information, such as name, address and phone number. Financial information such as credit card numbers and/or bank information is not recorded and at no time do we ever enter health information into our donor database.

We deeply value your support of the Foundation and Swedish Hospital and want you to feel confident in our abilities to safeguard your donor information and alert you immediately when incidents arise. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 773-293-8877.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Tscherney
