Annual Gala 2022 to Benefit Employee Wellbeing
Title Sponsor:
Swedish Hospital Foundation will host Roarin’ 20s, the 65th Annual Gala for Swedish Hospital, part of NorthShore, on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Chaired by Dr. Shameem Abbasy and Mr. Imtiaz Javed, this year’s benefit event will be held at the Chicago Marriot Downtown Magnificent Mile and begins at 6:00 pm.
You’ll be transported back to the exuberant 1920s as you enjoy fine dining amid elegant décor and 20s-themed entertainment, and dance the night away with DJ Fig and the highly-acclaimed band, Final Say. There will also be a silent auction with packages including fine dining, travel, sports and family fun. This year’s Spirit of Compassion Award will be presented to all NorthShore University HealthSystem Frontline Workers for their outstanding contribution to humanity and tremendous impact on the lives of so many patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, all proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the mission-driven programs of Swedish Hospital, including those that support the well-being of our employees. Over the past two years, the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic on our staff has been relentless. In response, with Gala proceeds, Swedish is launching a series of initiatives related to employee wellness, including: 1) Creating safe spaces in the hospital where employees can decompress, and recharge, and 2) Providing psychological first aid training to create a response team which will support staff impacted by traumatic events or ongoing mental health challenges. The goal of these initiatives is to promote an atmosphere of psychological safety, increase resilience and career longevity and enhance patient care.
