Join us for a special 1-hour, virtual event to learn about our Food Connections program, which assists community members who are food insecure, and hear from Swedish Registered Dietician,  Heather Ritter, MS, RDN, LDN,CNSC, who will show us how to incorporate nutritious foods back into our daily routine. The event will end with a lively, hands-on cooking demo by Chef Sam Jimenez who will create a delicious stir-fry that you can make at home or sample in our own hospital  cafeteria.

Food Connections Pop-Up Pantry Program:

Since December, our Food Package at Discharge program, in partnership with Lakeview Pantry, has been able to provide patients who face food insecurity a one-time supply of non-perishable goods to help them heal at home.

We’re excited to announce that we’re building on this program with the launch of the Food Connections Pop Up Pantry, located in the Galter Medical Pavilion.  This new food resource is for anyone in our Swedish community that needs it – patients, families, visitors, and staff. The Pop Up Pantry philosophy is: ‘Take what you need. Give what you can. No questions asked.’

How can you help? We are accepting donations on an ongoing basis to keep our shelves full of non-perishable food and personal hygiene products. You can find the donation bin next to the pantry. You can make a donate to the Food Connections Program by clicking here.
