Dr McNulty graduated summa cum laude from University of Connecticut in 1982, and received his M.D. from Georgetown University in 1986. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston in 1989, and has practiced Emergency Medicine since that time. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. He practiced for 10 years at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago, and was the Chairman of Emergency Medicine there before coming to Swedish Hospital in 2001. He became the Chairman of Emergency Medicine here in 2005, and is also President of Swedish Emergency Associates, the physician owned company that provides staffing for our ED. Dr McNulty is broadly involved in a variety of activities at the hospital, and he and his wife, Susie, were Chairs of the 2009 fundraising Gala. Although Dr McNulty has lived in Chicago for more than 20 years, he remains an avid Red Sox fan, and vows to remain so until the Cubs win the World Series.
